Severe Macaw

I have a severe Macaw that we rescued about 2 years ago. I haven't been able to work with him at all. I'm a little timid. I was able to hold him when we first got him, but not since. He is on a mixture diet of pellets. He is named, Kiwi. He is presumed male, but not DNA'd. I was told he is roughly 20 years old. He does talk and whistles. He does lunge, but I've been able to pet and rub his head just fine and hand feed him treats and other foods just fine.... (read more) I don't think it's cage aggression... I chose him instead of letting him choose me.

I'm looking for someone that has experience, the time to spend with him and bond. I feel with the right person, he will come out and be able to be handled and be a great companion. We've left his cage door open and he won't come out on his own.

He will come with his A&E cage, perches, food, Happy Bird Hook Bill LED Full Spectrum Light... Will need to bring a carrier for him and a truck to haul the cage. It can be taken apart if you'd like.

You will have to get him in the carrier, I will help you load and or take the cage apart.

Asking $3000 for all. Kiwi only, $2500.
