We have two wonderful doves almost full grown- would love to keep them, but their parents are becoming territorial, and they would do better in their own home spaces. Hand/people friendly, and grew up with doves and cockatiels. I would describe their coloring as toasty marshmallows.
Cheep (or Cheep Cheep) is the older sibling, young boy who is still getting his adult voice, but practicing his cooing and male behaviors. He is an absolute sweetheart who is very comfortable with human interaction.... (read more) Allows you to pick him up without fuss, will try to preen your face and fingers, cuddles with you, and lets you gently pet him. An absolute flirt, honestly. Would do well in any human household provided he has daily interaction with people.
Peep is the younger, with slightly more tan/brown pied coloring to her feathers. She's more reserved, which is normal for females, but also hand tame and comfortable interacting with people. Likes to pancake in sunny/warm spots and has a mischievous penchant for doing surprise landings on 'family' members (this includes people. Think of when a little kid hides around the corner and then goes 'boo!'. It's that but with a fluffy dove).
Both birds are full flight- never had wings clipped. Would really prefer they go to a home where they are allowed to fly around (as they have growing up), or other bird social interaction, unless you are certain you can give them as much attention as you would a four-legged pet. Please no inquiries if you already have dogs or cats; these two would not know to stay away and would likely get themselves hurt.
They are 50 per bird. While they are good siblings, they should NOT go together unless you have separate cages or other doves; they may end up becoming flirty with one another if not given any other interactions or connections, which isn't healthy for either of them.
You will need a travel cage/equivalent to pick them up for their safety in getting to a new home. Shipping will have to be discussed further, depending on distance.
They are precious, wonderful babies. If you have any additional questions, please let me know and I will do my best to answer. It is very important to me that they go where they will be as loved as they are here.
