Hello, I raise society finches, also known as Bengalese finches. My birds are of the American type and predominantly pied, with base colors of chocolate, fawn, and chestnut. Most birds are plainhead but a small number of crested offspring are being produced. 95% of birds available have 2024 closed leg bands and are of my own breeding/raised in my home aviary. We breed year-round and are continuously selecting for Bengalese which are excellent parents to their own chicks and foster other species when necessary (we also raise cut-throat and red-headed finches to test this), vigorous, free of genetic diseases, prolific breeders, and long-lived....
