Additional Comments
I have a male eastern rosella, one of his eyelids is partially closed. I can't recall what the condition is called, but it's when the eyelid just doesn't separate completely when they are developing. It isn't genetic, just happens occasionally. I read there is a surgery for it to separate it, but he had it when I got him and it has never bothered him so I didn't want to risk surgery for something that isn't a health risk to him.... (read more) He has an aviary buddy that has been with him since before I got him, he is an opaline red-rumped parrot (aka red-rumped grass parakeet).
Since they have been together for so long, I would like them to remain together. They share an aviary right now with some other birds. It has been a closed aviary for some time now. but I am downsizing. They are shy, but Phoenix (red-rump) is a little more comfortable with people than Roswell (rosella).
I have no idea how old they are. They are aviary eye candy for us, and am thinking, perhaps, they could be more than that in a different home. They are quiet and make such cute sounds, but I don't really plan on breeding them as I'm downsizing so I figured maybe they could find a home with a few ladies at some point. They are STUNNING boys, and probably the prettiest birds I have so have been reluctant to rehome them.
To a good home, I will take $350 for both boys.
