Bonded pair of Amazon parrots: Benny and Kooka -- $900 complete with cage and supplies.

Looking for some beautiful feathered friends? Benny is a 10 year-old Red Lored Amazon (also called Primrose Cheek Amazon). DNA tested male with hatch date Jan 28, 2014. Benny is a sweetheart, calm and shy – he will need some warming up to his new family but will soon be laughing with (or at) you. If he really likes you, he may sit on your arm and gently groom you or play with any rings you have on.... (read more) He does say “Hi” but is not a big talker; he’s more likely to greet you with an enthusiastic wolf whistle or his chuckling laughter!

Benny is very devoted to his lovely Kooka, a wild-caught Orange Wing Amazon who joined him in 2019. We believe she is female but do not have DNA testing. We also don’t know Kooka’s precise age, but are estimating 35 years, based on her previous owner’s history and the knowledge that catching birds from the wild has not been done in decades. When younger, she spent a great deal of time in Puerto Rico. She likes to chatter conversationally, and we were told she speaks some Spanish phrases, but we can only recognize “Kooka” in her speech. As with most wild-caught birds, she is not a fan of being handled, but she is very happy to whistle back and forth with her human pals in an imitation game.

Benny and Kooka must stay together and are looking for a new loving home. We are happy to include a large cage, perches, toys, and some food to get you started. $900 for everything. Local pickup, please.
