He is an extremely quiet bird, could be in an apartment easily. He loves to fly but I have his wings clipped now because I take him outside. He is only 4-5 years old and has been surgically sexed a male. He sees the vet for health check, beak trim, nails, and wings every six months by the traveling vet named Dr. Scott MacDonald--he's excellent by the way. I am in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. No shipping. He only seems to like head scratches, not down the body, which is OK because we aren't supposed to do that anyway.... (read more) He only bit me once when I first got him. He can be skittish but I think that's because I don't spend near as much time with him as I should. I have other birds but never let them together so I don't know how he would be out of the cage with other birds. The previous owner, about 3 years ago, said he talked but I have never heard him. Sometimes he whistles but he is still so young I'm sure he would. I will be very cautious about who he goes to. I'm only rehoming him for his sake, not mine. He needs more from his human. It's a tough love decision which I need to make. He was from a good breeder that I don't remember the name of from Michigan. Dr. Scott read his band on his leg and said they were very good. If you are the right home for him, I guarantee you will love him. Of course, if you cannot keep him for any reason, I will take him back for most of your money back. I have a cage for him that can be included. I don't have many pictures of him but he is full feathered and beautiful.
