Chicken is estimated to be 20-year-old female. Been with me for last 12 years. (Told she was 8 when I got her.) She is not banned, and I was told by previous owner that I am her 4th owner, told she originally came from a pet store that closed.
Excellent with dogs and cats! Regularly interacts with 2 dogs and 2 cats in the home. Fully flighted. Her cage door is open 24/7. Chicken is a active bird, moves around inside and play top multiple times a day.... (read more) Uses rope perch and swing that hang from ceiling above her cage. During times she chooses to fly or walk around the house she is nondestructive.
Very vocal with noises and whistles. Does talk when she chooses too. Majority of her vocalizations are sounds rather than words. Healthy eater, no self-harming. Can be picked up and handled. I've always had her beak and nails professionally clipped. She lays eggs several times a year. (Will become habitual layer unless you give her dummy year for incubation period) She is as low maintenance as a parrot can possibly be. 95% of time she only goes to bathroom in 2 different spots. Big time shredder loves puzzle toys. Located on north side of Indianapolis. Will come with older cage, toys, dummy eggs and all perches.
