Puccini is a 4 year old, male Canary that sings. His singing is random and not guaranteed, but if you listen to music or vacuum, it's likely he will sing. He sings several times a week right now.... (read more) He does not sing when molting. He enjoys unlimited bird seed and loves a broccoli stalk daily. He needs a large shallow bowl with fresh water daily for his baths with about 2 inches of cold water. And drinking water. He likes a Millet spray stalk weekly.

He must be kept away from draughts and vents and drafy windows. He needs quiet and dark at night for sleeping. He needs a day time aviary light. Avoid too close to kitchen.

Should be kept inside in his cage for his protection or can free fly in a room with covered windows and mirrors and perches provided. He likes to be in the living room where he can be entertained by our comings and goings and watch TV with us.

He does have a darkened nostril and it's been that way for a year or 2. I am unsure about this.
