This is Fric. We have had her and her brother for about three years. She has always been aggressive, and is a biter, but I believe that that's because we bought the pair, and she's the Alpha Female. We've tried to separate them in the same house but how do you do that with a bonded pair? I have gotten used to her behavior so that is not actually the problem.

Now she's laying eggs. They are not fertilized as far as I can tell, and she doesn't know how to take care of them.... (read more) The last batch we tried to give her a box and even put the eggs in there but she will have none of it and she doesn't actually sit on them. Now, about a month later, she's got five eggs in there and my biggest concern is her health. From what I've read a determinate layer could compromise her health by continuing to lay eggs, and the main solution I've come across is to separate her from her bonded partner.

Therefore I'm ready to release her to someone who can take care of her on her own. I'm being totally upfront because I don't want anyone to be disappointed. But she needs better care than I can give her. I think Frac (that's her buddy) will be fine without her. He's much calmer and not aggressive.
