Sweetpea a DNA Female. She is about 21 years old. She likes to have her head scratched and petted. She will once in a while say HELLO. I have to wonder if she might have more to say. She was placed in a breeder environment for a couple of years before being pulled out and brough to me to work with. She can nibble on you but has never bitten or brough blood. She loves sitting on your shoulder.

If you really want to make her day.... (read more) While she is in the cage or on top of the cage. Start playing the air guitar. She will get right into it. Not only does she bob her head up and down. It goes into circles. She will crawl upside down in her cage and anything she can to get your attention.

You can't eat around her while she is out. She is a food thief and clever one. You will have to earn her trust and her yours. But it didn't take me long to gain hers. She like fruits and veggies. She is a really good bird.

I breed and hand raise just White Bellied Caiques. I have bred and hand raised numerous other species of birds since my early 20's. Now in my 60, I enjoy working with just the Caiques. I have other species as pets that I enjoy everyday.
