I have a five-year-old Yellow Nape Amazon Parrot that I am re-homing, have had her for about six months now, and she just won't get used to me at all, has a calm temperament around my wife, but not me. Her previous owner was a woman. I got her to be a companion for my male YNP, they get along sometimes, but not all the time. She was talking for the previous owner, but has not talked for us yet. If you are interested, make sure you have ample time to spend with her and a spacey cage for her.... (read more) Not recommended for young children or skittish people. All birds will take time to adjust to their new environment, surroundings and new owners as well. If you are not used to birds, just know that they need quite time and space at night and needs to be covered up inside their cage. They can be quite entertaining if they bond with you, as our male parrot is entertaining and still amaze us all the time. We hate to break them up, but not much more we can do if she will not allow me to even clean their cage, so we are re-homing her. These birds are among the best talkers and can live greater than 60 years.
I live inside Fort Knox Army Base and can make arrangement to meet at Walmart in Radcliff, KY if you prefer. Access to Fort Knox is usually granted to visitors, pending no one over 15 in the vehicle is wanted by law enforcement.

They get along well inside and outside the cage, but she dominates the cage space which is his cage, and she takes over the food and water bowls. She says some words and whistles. She will not come with a cage because none was provided when I adopted her. Cages are available at many sources including visit our website You may call me between the hours of 4:30pm to to 9:30pm weekdays or mostly any reasonable hour on the weekends. If you text/call before these hours, I may not get back to you until the hours stated because I cannot have my cell phone with me at work.
