"SUNSHINE" hatched on January 16, 2023, and has been hand held, fed and loved so much! [ **PLEASE message me for a photo. There is a small glitch in uploading photos on BN right now** She is very affectionate, cuddly, curious about everything... and loves to play all of the time. She will be a great companion. She is completely weaned from her baby bird formula and enjoys eating a variety of greens, veggies, fruits, seeds, pellets and more.... (read more) When I say more... she will try just about any food she is given! She is very friendly and loves keeping me company wherever I am in my house, or just hanging out with me to watch tv. Her jingle toys and climbing Gymboree keeps her happy and amused. She is not cage confined except at bedtime and she is a sweet and fun companion around other birds and people. Her gender characteristics are female.
She will certainly become a lifelong friend to a loving family!
Please know, I will not just agree to an adoption for any of my babies unless I am 100% confident that I have made the right choice for my baby. These are not just birds, to me, they actually are my babies... and to be honest, some of the babies that I have raised over the years don't even realize that they are birds.
I will need to know, in much detail, all about whom it is that I hand over a baby to so If you'd like to tell me about yourself, ex: your home type, family members, other pets in the home, experience raising Cockatiels, the type of cage you would provide, the number of hours she be alone during the day... etc... any pertinent information that you think would be helpful for me to get to know you. I set out to learn all I could about Cockatiel breeding from any resource I could, and after 5 years, I have hand raised several beautiful baby Cockatiels who all are truly loved and adored by their families and will be for many, many years to come.
I put my heart into my babies and become quite attached to them all individually. Each have a distinct personality and I am very persistent in placing the right baby with the right family. I screen all who wish to take on a baby so I am 100% assured that the connection is perfect. I keep in touch with the families of my babies and am always available for any questions or guidance.
