Hello! We have this beautiful male Catalina Macaw pepper who is young we rescued him two years and his previous owner didn’t know his exact age but he was described as a young male between 6-8 years old. He is a big boy but don’t let that alarm you He is a very sweet boy and loves his showers, playing ball he will actually climb down off cage to chase ball and play with you, love’s interaction and head scratches, he is very intelligent and very food motivated.... (read more) He basically wants whatever you are eating! He does eat a varied diet of pellets and doesn’t seem to be picky there. He has been feed pretty bird from previous owners and did really well on that, zupreme works well too. He does love his spicy almonds, pistachios for treats, fresh fruits such as apples, oranges, clementines, bananas, hes loves broccoli, carrots and peppers. He’s not a super picky bird food wise, he will dance for a treat. He also loves to step up and eat treats out of your hand, he loves music and will dance, he loves to give kisses, he will say good night, good morning, hi, love you and a few other words he is always learning new words. Im a travel nurse and with being on the road he is really bonded to me only get to see him a week at a time in a months time frame and love him so much wanting the best for him. He also interacts with my husband and kids so don't believe he has a male or female preference. We are only asking what I paid to rescue him and that was save him from a pet store in a tiny cage that he couldn’t even spread his wings in. Thanks for looking!
