August 22, 2022 UPDATE: Guillermo went home with Gypsy yesterday. Things are going really well, all things considered. He adores his new human, too.

August 18, 2022 UPDATE: It seems Guillermo has found his forever home and his soulmate in Gypsy. We expect they will meet on Sunday.

Guillermo has a good home with me, but I want him to have a better home.... (read more) He is a lone Conure here. (The Peach-fronted in the photo with Guillermo was another rescue parrot who has been rehomed already.) It is important to me that Guillermo go to a home where there is another Green-cheeked conure.
Guillermo enjoys daily flight, because he gets a lot of "liberty" all day. He likes to sleep in a cage. He loves fresh foods. He gets cuddly when the lights dim at night. He can be a little nippy at times, but if you don't force yourself on him, you will rarely get an actual nip. He warns with head bobbing.
He steps up, when he wants to. ("Step up?" ...is a request here, not a command.) He lands on my shoulder unexpectedly, wanting to hang out. He has confronted some other parrots upon first meeting, but either becomes good friends with them, or learns to just give them their space.
He is about 5 or 6 years old, per the paperwork from when he was relinquished by his original owner/keeper. He does *not* come with a cage. His "price" is a rehoming fee, which will go to the rescue where I got him for fostering. Guillermo has had a recent wellness exam with an avian veterinarian.
Shipping Notes
I don't think I would ship him. I would think that would be quite a frightful experience for him.
