"Basil", hatched on June 18, 2022 and has been hand fed and raised by me since then. He is very affectionate, docile, curious and loves to play. He has been raised along with his brother, two sisters and Snowball, (the big sister of all four). He will be a great friend and companion . He is nearly weaned from his baby bird formula and has enjoyed the new fun flavors of many fruits and veggies which were blended into the baby bird formula he ate daily.... (read more) He loves greens and nibbles on cooked veggies, rice, fruits, seeds, pellets and more that I am offering him now that he is becoming a big baby bird. Lol!
He is very friendly and loves keeping me company with my housework or just hanging out with siblings playing with jingle toys, climbing around his Gymboree or swinging proudly from the kitchen swing. He is playfully vocal and has fun watching other talking, singing and whistling Cockatiel videos. Bedtime is routine and sleeps quietly and content through the night. He is a sweet and fun companion around other birds and people and I am sure he will be an amazing addition to a loving forever family. His gender characteristics are predominantly male.
Please know, I will not just agree to an adoption for any of my babies unless I am 100% confident that I have made the right choice for my baby. These are not just birds, to me, they actually are my babies... and to be honest, some of the babies that I have raised over the years don't even realize that they are birds.
If you reply with an interest for adding one of my babies to your home, I will need to know, in much detail, all about whom it is that I hand over a baby to, so please tell me about yourself, ex: your home type, family members, other pets in the home, experience raising Cockatiels, the type of cage you would provide, the number of hours she be alone during the day... etc... any pertinent information that you think would be helpful for me to get to know you.

I was sparkled with interest back in 2017, after reading a local ad where a family was looking for a loving home for their two young male Cockatiels. Remembering the wonderful memories from earlier years, while raising my children along with our feathered family members, I decided to add these little guys to my home since my children were grown and flew from my nest to their own... I set out to learn all I could about becoming a great "Cockatiel Grammy", and have hand raised several beautiful baby Cockatiels who all are truly loved and adored by their forever families and will surely increase the wonderful memories for many, many years.
I put my heart into my babies and become quite attached to them all individually. Each have a distinct personality and I am very persistent in placing the right baby with the right family. I screen all who wish to take on a baby so I am 100% assured that the connection is perfect. I keep in touch with the families of my babies and am always available for any questions or guidance.
