I am rehoming a lot of American Parakeets. There are 14 birds in total. I will not break the lot apart, so please do not ask.
The lot consists of:
-2 proven breeder pairs
-6 babies in nest (1 in one nest/5 in other)
-6 young (12-13) week old babies (weaned)
Parents color mutations are:
-Dominant Pied Violet (mom) x Yellowface type II sky blue (dad)
-Recessive Pied Violet (mom) x Yellowface Greywing sky blue (dad)
Both pairs are wonderful parents.... (read more) All 4 of them sit and feed their babies. Each pair is rested properly and only allowed 2-3 clutches in one year’s time as to not over breed them. They are very fertile. I have to make them take a rest or they will continue to breed. Each day they receive Prime vitamins, triple action bee pollen, egg food, herb salad, and fresh, raw chop along with their high quality seed and fresh, bottled water. All birds are kept indoors in a clean environment and are used to being in a busy household around adults, children, and small dog. They are kept in clean cages. They always have plenty of toys, mineral block, and a cuttle bone in each cage. They are given spray baths 2-3 times per week (when no babies).
There is a rehoming fee of $195. (That breaks down to a little over $13 per bird.) That total is for all 14 birds as well as one breeder cage that we will bring them in for you to have. Pickup will be at Lowe’s in Daphne. Cash only, please.
