Say hi to Gus! He's a healthy, friendly, 18 yo scarlet macaw. He would love to come live with an experienced large bird owner and get a lot of attention as the only large bird in the house. He will come with a 4'x3'x6' tall King's Cage, a large plexiglass carrier, an activity/play stand, food, toys and his latest physical and blood work results (clean bill of health).
He is harness trained and loves to fly outside in the summer time on his harness.... (read more) He eats a mix of fresh fruits, Mazuri pellets, dried fruit and nuts (almonds are his favorite).
He can speak very clearly and say things such as "Hi", "Hello bird", "step up", "UP" (while putting his wings up). And he likes to talk gibberish to himself when he thinks he's alone.
You will need to come and meet Gus to make sure you and he are a good fit. I will not consider shipping him.
