Hello! A baby red-crowned kakariki is being hand-fed New Eden Avian Conservancy. He/she should be ready to go to his/her new home in late April. Baby will be tame, taught to step up, and weaned onto a healthy diet of seed, vegetables, fruits, and sprouts. Baby will be closed-banded with the year, aviary name, and a unique serial number for identification purposes. We believe testing the parents for disease is important, thus the pair has been disease-tested for psittacine beak and feather disease (PBFD), polyomavirus, bornavirus (PDD), psittacosis, Pacheo's disease, and bordetella avium (lockjaw). Paperwork showing proof of testing will be provided upon request.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a kakariki until weaning. We offer a one-week health guarantee. A full refund will be administered if the bird does not survive the first week and a certified avian veterinarian performs a necropsy and finds the cause of death to be due to disease, infection or injury incurred prior to your aquisition of the bird.
