Maggie is an approximately 22-year-old cockatoo. She was in her previous home for 21 years and has been with us for about a year after being owner-surrendered to a pet store near Atlanta where we purchased her following previous owner’s death.

Her surrender came after about 5 years of neglect during which she started plucking. Her feathers are much improved and plucking has decreased drastically but doesn’t seem to be stopped completely.... (read more)

The reason we are rehoming her is because she needs more undivided attention than we can give her. She screams when people aren’t in sight or if she’s not the center of her favorite people’s attention.

She needs a family who can give her lots of attention and/or can deal with the screaming.

She’s a super sweet bird who isn’t a biter and is used to dogs. She doesn’t appear to have a gender preference for her people.

Her fee includes her 46x29 cage and may be negotiable in order to connect her with the right family.
