I am selling my female blue and gold macaw. She was actually sold to me as a male but laid several clutches of presumably unfertilized eggs, so I quickly learned "he" was a "she." She was not aggressive towards me with any of the clutches she laid and would let me pet her while on the nest. I was told the egg legging was from stress because of her change in homes and she has not laid any eggs in a while.

Back story: I never intended to keep Iversona long-term and she has only been with me for a year. She was sold to me after somehow surviving living in a basement with several cats. The previous owner was feeding her corn and cheap birdseed. As an animal advocate, I was unable to leave her in that situation (it was during an inspection that I saw her) so I bought her from the owner. She was missing a bunch of her feathers and was terrified of people. After a few weeks, being treated correctly, she began to heal both internally and externally.

Iversona will come with all of her food and toys but no cage, as she currently has a bedroom to herself. I used to have cages for her to climb on for fun until making a bird stand for her. Also, I did purchase a very large birdcage for her in the beginning and she was incredibly stressed out in it so I sold the cage. Please only email if you are a SERIOUS buyer and understand the responsibility of owning a macaw! This is not a beginner bird for anyone and bird people know that. Thank you for reading.
