This is Penelope Pickle, a female red-fronted macaw. Affectionately nicknamed Penny, and sometimes called Pickle. Penny hatched April 14th, 2021. She's funny, demanding, and in typical red-fronted fashion, she's loud and makes no excuses for it. She loves to be with people and isn't against an occasional cuddle. She's just starting to talk and she's said "What?" and makes kissing sounds.

Penny when home to a new family for just 24 days.... (read more) Unfortunately, they were not prepared for life with such a beautiful girl and asked us to take her back. The issue was not with Penny, but with the family. She made the transition between us with no issues at all. Even though she was fully flighted and taught to recall, they had her wings clipped. She will be able to fly again once they grow back. Penny is microchipped and received a full vet check in July.

Due to her having one family that didn't work out, she will require at least 2 visits so that I can see it is a good fit. It's about what's best for her. If she doesn't like you, she won't go home with you.
